All spores found in indoor air are also normally found in outdoor air because most originate or live in the soil and on dead or decaying plants. Therefore, it is no unusual to find mold spores in indoor air.
MOLD TESTING / CLEARANCE TESTING / POST TESTING
Mold911's standard mold test will include 3 samples. The mold test should take no more than 45 minutes to complete. The goal is compare the outdoor air sample to two indoor air samples. Our lab analyze the test samples and report the mold species and concentration levels detected. If the levels of mold detected is normal, no further mold remediation is required. If the levels of mold are elevated we will be able to provide you information about mold remediation services.
Additional charge for extra samples.
THIRD PARTY MOLD TESTING
At times, when other mold remediation contractors complete their work, we can provide a 3rd party clearance / post mold test to ensure that the air quality has been restored to normal conditions.
Did you know...
Multiple types of Mold sampling are recommended by the AIHA, since each has limitations; for example, air sampling for mold in the will not identify a hidden mold source and a mold tape sample cannot determine the level of contamination in the air. Once our independent Accredited Third Party Lab analyzes the mold samples the final results will indicate mold levels and and mold species.

MOLD LAB REPORTS
Lab report are important documents that you can use to present homeowners, renters, landlords, tenants, realtors, potential homebuyers and employees with to assure them, that the environment they are in has normal air quality conditions.
Lab Report Indicates PROBLEM detected Elevated Levels of Toxic Mold
- Comprehesive & detailed lab report explains the elevated levels and types of toxic mold found.
- Our easy to understand mold assessment report is based on our Mold Inspection and Lab findings
- We also provide information about Mold remediation
Why Mold Testing is an important part of the Mold Inspection process?
Mold testing should be done only to make a particular determination, such as airborne spore concentration or identifying a particular species. MOLD911's Certified Mold Inspectors follows the recommendations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the EPA and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) guidelines.
Multiple Types of Mold Sampling Methods We Provide
Air sampling for Mold
Our most common form of sampling to assess mold levels. Indoor and outdoor air are sampled, and their mold-spore levels compared. Air sampling often identifies mold species, concentration and hidden mold.
Surface / Swab sampling for Mold
We swab the area being sampled, often a measured area, and subsequently sent to the mold testing laboratory. Final results will indicate mold levels and species located in suspect area.
Bulk Mold sampling
Removal of material from the contaminated area to identify and quantify the mold in the sample
