Do you know what’s in your home’s air? If you’re like most homeowners, the answer is probably no. However, it’s worth knowing the answer to that question: poor indoor air quality is a trigger for allergies, illness, and other problems for you and your family.

Find out what’s in your home’s air by calling Mold911 (918-770-4888) for a professional mold / indoor air quality test.  Our expert technicians use specialized equipment to evaluate your air and then suggest how you can improve the quality of it.

Mold Testing / Indoor Air Quality Test Process

Mold Testing / Indoor Air Quality Testing is the collection of primarily 3 air samples taken from within your property, also if needed surface samples can be collected. During the Mold Test, our Certified Mold Inspector will check the areas of concern, humidity levels and moisture issues.  Afterwards, we overnight the samples to an independant lab to analyze and report their findings.  By comparing the outdoor air sample to one or more indoor samples we can determine if elevated mold spore levels are present.

Mold Testing / Indoor Air Quality Test Results

Mold spores are everywhere, it is not uncommon to find low levels of mold inside your property. If normal mold levels are detected, no further mold remediation is necessary. But if elevated levels of mold spores are detected, you may have a mold problem. Since we have completed the Mold Inspection, we have identified the cause of the mold growth and determined the levels of airborne mold spores. With our Mold Inspection Assessment and Lab Mold Analysis Report, we can confidently recommend Mold Remediation solutions.

Clearance Testing

At times, when other mold remediation contractors complete their work, we can provide a 3rd party clearance / post mold test to ensure indoor air quality has been restored.

Why is Mold Testing an Important Part of the Mold Inspection Process?

Mold testing should be done only to make a particular determination, such as airborne spore concentration or identifying a particular species. MOLD911's Certified Mold Inspectors follows the recommendations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the EPA and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) guidelines.

Mold Testing - Sampling Methods

Air sampling -

Air Sampling is our most common form of air testing to assess airborne mold spore levels of indoor and outdoor air quality. Air sampling identifies mold species and airborne concentration levels.

Surface / Swab sampling -

We swab or tape life the area being sampled, often a measured area, and subsequently sent to the mold testing laboratory. Final results will indicate mold species.

Bulk sampling -

Removal of material from the contaminated area to identify and quantify the mold in the sample

Did You know?

Multiple types of Mold sampling are recommended by the AIHA, since each has limitations; for example, air sampling for mold in the will not identify a hidden mold source and a mold tape sample cannot determine the level of contamination in the air. Once our independent Accredited Third Party Lab analyzes the mold samples the final results will indicate mold levels and and mold species.
